Pregnancy is a transitional time in your life bringing many changes and opportunities to grow. Classes will help you learn to link breath with postures creating a mind and body awareness giving you the ability to respond in the birthing process. Prenatal yoga is a non heated, 60 minute class, gentle yoga practice that teaches you ways to adjust to the changing needs of your body during pregnancy. With consistent practice you will:
· Learn movements to decrease the common discomforts of pregnancy; for example, decrease back pain, sciatica, and swelling of ankles & feet
· Strengthen body, increase flexibility, and endurance
· Improve circulation and aid in digestion
· Strengthen uterus and pelvic muscles
· Learn ways to promote optimal fetal position
· Feel more prepared and confident for labor and birth
