Specialized Learning, ABA Therapy: Effective Interventions specializes in helping children on the autism spectrum and those with developmental delays thrive through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Serving children from birth to age 21.

Infant Care, Full-time Care: Caterpillar Learning Academy will begin offering full-time care from 7:30 – 5:30 PM for children ages 12 weeks to 4 years on July 1. The classrooms will be divided by Infants, 1s & 2, and 3s & 4.

The facility will be located at 100B Gossman Drive in Southern Pines. They are looking to partner with Childcare Aware to subsidize care for our Military families.

Special Needs: Equine-assisted therapy offers children with special needs a unique opportunity to build confidence, strength, and connection. Supported by trained volunteers and PATH-certified instructors, each child receives tailored lessons designed to meet their individual needs.

Specialized Learning: The Relatable Learner specializes in providing quality education through 1:1 sessions and group classes to students with unique academic and functional needs. We create programs, activities, and experiences that allow students to gain access to specific skills and concepts needed to be successful.

Full-time Care, Preschool: Saint John Paul II is pleased to offer a full-day preschool program, five days per week for ages 4-6. Scholarship and financial assistance are available for qualifying families. Their application period begins on Wednesday, January 3, 2025.

Part-time Care, Preschool: Sacred Heart Preschool offers a half-day preschool program for two, three, and four-year-old children. They operate Mondays through Thursdays, 9 AM – 12 PM. Segmented registration begins between January 6th-28th.

Drop-off, Part-Time Care: Pollywogs Playpad operates Mon. thru Fri. from 8AM-noon or 1PM-5PM. The program is offered to our youngest crawlers and children up to age 4. They also provide play days on Saturdays and date nights some evenings.

Pollywogs is located at 3060 North Carolina 5 in Aberdeen (near Aberdeen Elementary!).

Mommy & Me, Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK, Summer Camps: Sandhills Creative Learning is an Academic and Gymnastics Preschool for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds with a 12:2 student-to-teacher ratio. Classes are from Monday — Friday 9am-12pm with early and late drop-off available. Preschool Gymnastics to boys and girls ages 2-5 are also available throughout the day.

The gym is located at 220 Ampersand Dr in Aberdeen.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature, Summer Camps: Wander and Root offer nature school, summer adventures, pop-up play days, and more throughout the year. They operate Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1328 Martin Rd. in Jackson Springs, NC. Families can choose between 1, 2, or 3-day enrollment.

An interest form and farm tour are required before enrollment. Some scholarships are available.

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: The Merry Hearts Preschool at Bethesda Presbyterian Church is a preschool for children ages 1-4 years old. Priority is given to currently enrolled students and families, as well as Bethesda Presbyterian Church members. The Early Registration period begins January 3-13.

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: Wee Learn at First Baptist Church offers a Christian-based curriculum for children ages 1-4 years old. They operate from 9 am-Noon Mondays through Thursdays. Registration opens for current families on January 24 and on February 7 for the public.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature School: Little Wild Ones is a Nature School through TimberNook Sensational Experiences. They cater to ages 4-7, although they have accepted 3-year-olds into the program if they are out of diapers and/or pull-ups. They meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

TimberNook of the Sandhills is located at 1615 Bethesda Road in Aberdeen. Registration begins the week of January 4th, 2024 and spots are available.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature: Mother Nature Academy LLC is a nature school that is also focused on getting your child “kindergarten ready.” They meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm with an option of 2, 3, or 5-day classes per week. For nature schools in this area, they cater to a younger audience of 2 1/2 to 5 years old.

They are located at 148 Hill Lane in Carthage.

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: The Fellowship Preschool offers 2, 3, and 4-day classes for children ages 3-4 and 3 or 5-day classes for children ages 4-5. They meet Mondays through Fridays from 8:30-11:30 am, with their school year starting in August and ending in May. Fall registration begins January 16th.

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: Little Promises Preschool is a half-day preschool for children ages two through five. The children are separated into Twos, PreK3 (current limited openings available), and PreK4 classes. The classes take place Monday – Thursday from 9 am – 12 pm with options for two-day or four-day commitments.

Part-time Care, Preschool, Mommy’s Morning Out, Summer Camps: The Preschool in the Pines offers classes Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM for children ages 2-4 years. They also offer a Mother’s Morning Out Program on Fridays from 9-11:30 AM for children ages 14 months to 2 years old. Summer camps begin in June.

The programs are located in The Chapel in the Pines at 581 Seven Lakes Drive in Seven Lakes. There are still current openings for the 2023-2024 school year.
