Sonshine Learning Center

Sonshine Learning Center, a ministry of First Baptist Church Southern Pines, provides spiritual, academic, physical, and emotional support for children’s development in a nurturing environment. In addition to classroom activities, SLC children enjoy attending Chapel and Music class every Thursday.  Twice monthly they enjoy learning during a special library time led by SLC moms.  Every other Wednesday they are eager to attend an introduction to Spanish class with Mrs. Maria where they are introduced to numbers, colors, animals and more in Spanish.

My thoughts: Out of all the Mommy’s Morning Out programs in Moore County, this one stands out as one of the best. While the hours may seem limited compared to others, the safe, clean, happy, friendly, and professional environment makes it a top choice. They even offer a baby program, which can be incredibly helpful for navigating separation anxiety in that first year. One note of caution: when searching for more information, be mindful of a similarly named daycare (Sunshine Learning Centernot showcased on our site) that often appears in search results.
