Part-Time Care: Sonshine Learning Center offers programs for children from 3 Months - 4 Years of age from 8:30-11:30 AM. Days vary dependent on children’s’ ages. Programs are available for babies (starting at infancy), toddlers, and children up to 4 years old.

Part-Time Care: Un Poco is a Spanish Immersion preschool. They meet Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 AM - 12:30 PM. Children are eligible for Mornings with Un Poco from the age of 23 months to 4 years, no potty-training necessary.

They are located inside of Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen.

Part-time Care, Full-time Care, Preschool, PreK: Our Saviour Preschool (OSP) offers part- and full-day church-affiliated Preschool & Pre-K care for children ages 1-5. Registration opens to the public Monday, December 30th at midnight.

Part-time Care, Full-time Care, Preschool, Pre-K: Just 20 minutes from Cameron, Independence Academy is a private, Montessori and Reggio-inspired school serving Toddlers-Elementary. Independence offers 5-Day, 3-Day, and 2-Day Full & Half-Day options for various ages. Before and after school hours are also available.

Independence Academy is located at 84 Tingen Road in Broadway

Part-time Care, Full-time Care, Preschool, Pre-K: Offering full-day and half-day options, Country Kids Preschool operates year-round. The preschool serves children aged 2 to 5, all must be potty trained. They accept subsidies from Child Care Aware (for military families) and Moore County DSS.

Country Kids Preschool is located at 154 Kirk Rd. in Aberdeen.

Part-time Care, Preschool: Sacred Heart Preschool offers a half-day preschool program for two, three, and four-year-old children. They operate Mondays through Thursdays, 9 AM – 12 PM. Segmented registration begins between January 6th-28th.

Sacred Heart is located at 300 Dundee Rd. in Pinehurst.

Drop-off, Part-Time Care: Pollywogs Playpad operates Mon. thru Fri. from 8AM-noon or 1PM-5PM. The program is offered to our youngest crawlers and children up to age 4. They also provide date night drop-off every first Friday and third Saturday.

Pollywogs is located at 100 G Pinehurst Avenue in Southern Pines.

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: The Merry Hearts Preschool at Bethesda Presbyterian Church is a preschool for children ages 1-4 years old. Priority is given to currently enrolled students and families, as well as Bethesda Presbyterian Church members. The Early Registration period begins January 3-13.

Their hours are from 8:30-11:30 am and they’re located at 1002 N. Sandhills Blvd. in Aberdeen, NC 28315

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: Wee Learn at First Baptist Church offers a Christian-based curriculum for children ages 1-4 years old. They operate from 9 am-Noon Mondays through Thursdays. Registration opens for current families on January 24 and on February 7 for the public.

Wee Learn is located at 700 N. Sandhills Blvd. in Aberdeen.

Part-time Care, Preschool, Mommy’s Morning Out, Summer Camps: The Preschool in the Pines offers classes Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM for children ages 2-4 years. They also offer a Mother’s Morning Out Program on Fridays from 9-11:30 AM for children ages 14 months to 2 years old. Summer camps begin in June.

The programs are located in The Chapel in the Pines at 581 Seven Lakes Drive in Seven Lakes. There are still current openings for the 2023-2024 school year.

Part-time Care, Preschool, Drop-Off Care, Summer Camps: Ruggrats offers both Mommy’s Morning Out and Preschool for children 1 and up. They are in session from 9 am - 1 pm Monday through Friday. Attendance options of 2, 3, or 4-days are available. Summer camps are also available.

The Garden Montessori

Mommy & Me, Part-Time Care, Preschool, After School Programs, Summer Camps: The Garden is a Montessori-based program that offers a variety of half-day learning environments and classes to children under the age of 6. It is emphasized to start with the Parent & Child Classes to properly integrate children into the program. Siblings and currently enrolled students gain preference over other applicants.

The classrooms are housed inside the Congregational Church Of Pinehurst at 895 Linden Rd in Pinehurst and at the MMCS Campus in Southern Pines.

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: Brownson Learning Center offers part-time preschool and Pre-K classes for children who are ages 1 to 4 years old from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Priority placement is given to current and previous BLC families.

Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK: Little People Loving & Learning Preschool offers programs to children ages 1-5. Their Preschool is separated into classes: 1-year-old, 2-year-old, 3-year-old, 4-year-old/PreK class. Each class meets 2, 3, or 5 times a week depending on age.

Their hours are 9 AM - 12 PM and they are located inside the Southern Pines UMC at 175 Midland Road in Southern Pines.

Part-time Care, Full-time Care, PreK: Little Pines Academy is a part or full-time school for children ages 2-6 located in downtown Southern Pines. Enrollment for their 2025-2026 waitlist opens February 1, 2025. Families on the waitlist will be contacted in waitlist order.

Their full-time hours are from Monday – Friday 9 AM -2 PM with before and after care available. Located at 387 W Pennsylvania Ave.
