Vegetable Gardening in the Sandhills

  • Ladybug Farm Pinebluff, NC (map)

First, I am excited to announce our Vegetable Gardening in the Sandhills workshop. Based on feedback from the community, we chose a FULL day of lecture and workshops rather than a few classes spread out in a series. I am excited for a juicy day of gardening goodness! So bring your dreams, gain some wisdom, set your intentions & leave with an action plan for your upcoming Spring vegetable garden!

This day will be a mix of lecture & workshop, both inside our workshop and inside our 1,620 foot greenhouse high tunnel. Come prepared to get your hands dirty sifting soil, planting seeds, and transplanting to gain the experience to feel confident in your 2024 garden.

Topics covered will include: soil health, seed varieties, categories of plants, when and how to start seeds, transplanting, planting methods, watering, providing supports, weeds, garden insects, organic gardening, biointensive and square foot gardening methods.

There will be a one hour lunch break for participants to get nourished, visualize a garden, and make discoveries about your land. Participants will then join back at the second half of the day ready to create a future garden plan.

Find a friend to register with and your combined registration fee is reduced to $75 total. Space is limited to 16 participants.
