Infant Care, Full-time Care: Caterpillar Learning Academy will begin offering full-time care from 7:30 – 5:30 PM for children ages 12 weeks to 4 years on July 1. The classrooms will be divided by Infants, 1s & 2, and 3s & 4.

The facility will be located at 100B Gossman Drive in Southern Pines. They are looking to partner with Childcare Aware to subsidize care for our Military families.

Part-time Care, Preschool: Sacred Heart Preschool offers a half-day preschool program for two, three, and four-year-old children. They operate Mondays through Thursdays, 9 AM – 12 PM. Segmented registration begins between January 3rd-25th.

Sacred Heart is located at 300 Dundee Rd. in Pinehurst.

Drop-off, Part-Time Care: Pollywogs Playpad operates Mon. thru Fri. from 8AM-noon or 1PM-5PM. The program is offered to our youngest crawlers and children up to age 4. They also provide play days on Saturdays and date nights some evenings.

Pollywogs is located at 3060 North Carolina 5 in Aberdeen (near Aberdeen Elementary!).

Mommy & Me, Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK, Summer Camps: Sandhills Creative Learning is an Academic and Gymnastics Preschool for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds with a 12:2 student-to-teacher ratio. Classes are from Monday — Friday 9am-12pm with early and late drop-off available. Preschool Gymnastics to boys and girls ages 2-5 are also available throughout the day.

The gym is located at 220 Ampersand Dr in Aberdeen.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature, Summer Camps: Wander and Root offer nature school, summer adventures, pop-up play days, and more throughout the year. They operate Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1328 Martin Rd. in Jackson Springs, NC. Families can choose between 1, 2, or 3-day enrollment.

An interest form and farm tour are required before enrollment. Some scholarships are available.

Part-time Care, Preschool, Mommy’s Morning Out, Summer Camps: The Preschool in the Pines offers classes Monday - Friday from 9am-12pm for children ages 2-4 years. They also offer a Mother’s Morning Out Program on Fridays from 9am-11:30am for children ages 14 months to 2 years old. From June 17th-August 9th they will be offering 5 summer camps.

The programs are located in The Chapel in the Pines at 581 Seven Lakes Drive in Seven Lakes. There are still current openings for the 2023-2024 school year.

Private, Part-time, Full-time, Preschool, PreK: EDS is a private school offering education and character training to students from early preschool through 5th grade. Half-day and Full-day programs are offered.

Observation sessions to watch your child play and interact with their peers begin in late January. An application and reserved time slot are required prior to possible enrollment. EDS is located at 340 E. Massachusetts Ave, Southern Pines, N.C., 28387

Private, Part-time, Full-time, Preschool, PreK: O’Neal is a private school offering education from PreK-3 through Grade 12. Half-day and Full-day Programs are offered in the Lower School PreKs. Summer camps are also available.

Their full-time hours are from Monday – Friday 9am-3pm with after care, Kids Club, available. Located at 3300 Airport Road in Southern Pines.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature, Mommy & Me, Summer Camps: Ladybug Farm hosts Forest Kindergarten two days per week for children ages 4-6, Summer Camps, an Autumn-time “Little Farmers” for both parent and child, and — there’s more — a Home Hatchery where you incubate your own chicks!

They meet at Shawna’s farm in Pinebluff as scheduled.

The Garden Montessori

Mommy & Me, Part-Time Care, Preschool, After School Programs, Summer Camps: The Garden is a Montessori-based program that offers a variety of half-day learning environments and classes to children under the age of 6. It is emphasized to start with the Parent & Child Classes to properly integrate children into the program. Siblings and currently enrolled students gain preference over other applicants.

The classrooms are housed inside the Congregational Church Of Pinehurst at 895 Linden Rd with the Nature Schools expanding throughout the church grounds.
