Mommy & Me, Part-time Care, Preschool, PreK, Summer Camps: Sandhills Creative Learning is an Academic and Gymnastics Preschool for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds with a 12:2 student-to-teacher ratio. Classes are from Monday — Friday 9am-12pm with early and late drop-off available. Preschool Gymnastics to boys and girls ages 2-5 are also available throughout the day.

The gym is located at 220 Ampersand Dr in Aberdeen.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature, Summer Camps: Wander and Root offer nature school, summer adventures, pop-up play days, and more throughout the year. They operate Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1328 Martin Rd. in Jackson Springs, NC. Families can choose between 1, 2, or 3-day enrollment.

An interest form and farm tour are required before enrollment. Some scholarships are available.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature School: Little Wild Ones is a Nature School through TimberNook Sensational Experiences. They cater to ages 4-7, although they have accepted 3-year-olds into the program if they are out of diapers and/or pull-ups. They meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

TimberNook of the Sandhills is located at 1615 Bethesda Road in Aberdeen. Registration begins the week of January 4th, 2024 and spots are available.

Part-time Care, Preschool, Mommy’s Morning Out, Summer Camps: The Preschool in the Pines offers classes Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM for children ages 2-4 years. They also offer a Mother’s Morning Out Program on Fridays from 9-11:30 AM for children ages 14 months to 2 years old. Summer camps begin in June.

The programs are located in The Chapel in the Pines at 581 Seven Lakes Drive in Seven Lakes. There are still current openings for the 2023-2024 school year.

Part-time Care, Preschool, Drop-Off Care, Summer Camps: Ruggrats offers both Mommy’s Morning Out and Preschool for children 1 and up. They are in session from 9 am - 1 pm Monday through Friday. Attendance options of 2, 3, or 4-days are available. Summer camps are also available.

Located at 125 E. Illinois Ave in Southern Pines.

The Garden Montessori

Mommy & Me, Part-Time Care, Preschool, After School Programs, Summer Camps: The Garden is a Montessori-based program that offers a variety of half-day learning environments and classes to children under the age of 6. It is emphasized to start with the Parent & Child Classes to properly integrate children into the program. Siblings and currently enrolled students gain preference over other applicants.

The classrooms are housed inside the Congregational Church Of Pinehurst at 895 Linden Rd in Pinehurst and at the MMCS Campus in Southern Pines.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature: DIRT Outdoor School program opens for it's spring semester in March 2024. They meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9AM to 1PM in Robbins, NC and cater to children ages 4-8 years old. Summer camps will begin in June!

Registration is open with an interest form and tour suggested before completing your child’s enrollment.

Private, Part-time, Full-time, Preschool, PreK: O’Neal is a private school offering education from PreK-3 through Grade 12. Half-day and Full-day Programs are offered in the Lower School PreKs. Summer camps are also available.

Their full-time hours are from Monday – Friday 9am-3pm with after care, Kids Club, available. Located at 3300 Airport Road in Southern Pines.

Part-time, Pre-K, Nature, Mommy & Me, Summer Camps: Ladybug Farm offers four unique, nature-focused programs: Forest Kindergarten, Forest Homeschool, Future Homesteaders, and Mini Monet for children ages 4 and up.

They meet at Shawna’s farm in Pinebluff as scheduled.

Private, Part-time, Full-time, Preschool, PreK: SCCS offers a private classical and Christian education for preschool through 12th grade, with preschool locations in both Southern Pines and Pinehurst. They provide both Half Day and Full Day options for 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds, and Pre-K, along with summer camps and before/after care.

Open enrollment from their Enrollment Inquiry List begins the week of January 6th.

Mommy & Me: Valkyrie Sporthorses is a riding academy where children can gain confidence and advance their skill set riding horses. Their programs include Little Breeches, Traditional Riding Lessons for Kids and Adults, Birthday Parties, and Summer Camps (parent & child!).

They are located at: 11597 Aberdeen Rd in Aberdeen.

Mommy & Me, Summer Camps: Encore offers side-by-side ballet classes for ages 2-3, tiny tots, and preschool dance classes for ages 3-5. Kindermusik is also available on Fridays. Registration for recital classes closes Jan 15 but they will start some non-recital classes and open summer camp registration on Feb 1.
